[JAWSLite] Re: MMM how to set up Daniel voice as my default in jaws?

Do you already have the Real Speak voices installed? It sounds like you 
do, so I'll assume that's the case. If not, you can load the Real Speak 
Voices CD that came with JAWS 8, and depending on how your system is 
configured, the install wizard should come up.  

The first thing you need to do is switch to the MSAPI 5 synthesizer. I 
usually do this with the hot key insert-control-s. Now down arrow until 
you hear MSAPI 5 and press enter. I don't recall if I had to do anything 
special at one time to get MSAPI 5 to show up in the list of available 
synthesizers.

Now, go into your JAWS menus. I have JAWS loaded into my system tray, so 
I typically get into the JAWS menus by typing insert-F11 to bring up the 
list of programs in my system tray, down arrowing until I get to "JAWS 
for Windows", tabbing over once until I hear" right single click" and 
then pressing the space bar. I'm sure there are easier ways to do this.

You should now be on the Options menu item. Hit right arrow once to 
expand this menu item and down arrow once to get to Voices. Use the 
right arrow to expand this menu and down arrow once to get to 
"Individual Voice Adjustments ..." Press enter, and you'll be in the 
dialog where you can change the different voices for JAWS.

Tab over once, and you should be in a list of options, the first being 
"PC Cursor Voice". Tab over 3 times, and you'll be in the list of voices 
that you can use for the PC cursor voice. Using the arrow keys, you 
should be able to find "Scansoft Daniel_Full_22KHZ". You can now back 
tab 3 times and select a different option, such as "JAWS Cursor Voice" 
and then tab over 3 times to choose Daniel for this voice as well. Once 
your done setting all of the voices you want to Daniel, tab over and 
press the space bar on the OK button.

I'm not sure if I'm up to the task of explaining this clearly or not, so 
I hope this helps!
