Unfortunately, I don't have an answer, but I looked at this a little
once myself when I was playing around with using Word as an editor when
composing emails. It seems like one option would be to somehow get JFW
to load the MS Word configuration file even though it's being run under
Lotus Notes. Another thing to look for would be to see if you could
launch the attachments into the stand alone MS Office products. I'm not
sure if either suggestion will help, but maybe it'll give you or someone
some ideas.

Hi. Under Lotus Notes 7, my co-workers want to use the feature that provides
for collaboration on Microsoft documents. This database/template stores
versions of the documents, but, when the Microsoft documents are opened as
embedded objects within Lotus Notes, JAWS 7 cannot read anything in the
window.
Now, you might think the first logical action would be to upgrade to JAWS 8,
but JAWS 8 will not install onto my workstation at work. Someone is supposed
to be investigating that problem.
My question: is JAWS able to read embedded Microsoft applications in Lotus
Notes? Any settings for Lotus Notes and/or JAWS to try?
Thanks for any ideas.
Carolyn
