ok, hi again,

apparently in sp3 you can't just fabricate a .reg file, or at least not the
simple ones I have used in the past, so what I will attempt to do for the XP
users out here who want it, is manually do the modification, save it, and
then if it doesn't cause me troubles, I will highlight and save that part of
my registry as a .reg file and it should be useable as an install file for
anyone else who wants it.

for vista users, all I can do is reiterate what I said before, someone with
vista will need to go look and see if the value to be changed is still in
the same spot, by following the registry chain listed in the notations for
the reg file, and see if it is still there, if so the change should be the
same.

again, I can't stress enough, if you go to do this, use regedit to make a
backup file of your registry before changing it, put that on your c drive,
and then edit, so you can fix it if you bump the wrong thing or if the
modification is not a "good change"
