[JAWSLite] Re: Keyboard wonky Help Please!

Hi Nancy -- this happens to me frequently (using jaws8) and I can always
correct the problem by unloading and reloading jaws. To unload jaws type
insert+F4 and enter. Then run jaws again and all should be corrected.
I don't know what causes this, but I think it has something to do with jaws
code inappropriately identifying whether some mode key is down -- for example,
shift, alt or control. Jaws can get mixed up and once that happens, it will
speak the wrong things until you restart it.
HTH and happy reading.

Subject: [JAWSLite] Keyboard wonky Help Please!

  Hi-

My keyboard was helping me navigate thru my jfw functions like a star until a
few days ago.

Now the numpad refuses to read me anything that I use insert with, like I
forward or back on a line. When I try that, all it says is 'selected' and will
not read to me in any fashion going forward or back. Also, my up, down, and
back and forth arrow keys just say selected, selected selected selected. I
miss being able to read by sentence, word and letter.

I am using jfw version 7.000something that ends with a u.

I am using XP version 2. The only thing that has changed within the last
week is that I added a usb 2 hub that plugs into electricity as the hub I used
previously used only the usb for connection and I could only use one exteernal
usb device at a time.

I really need help. Oh, I did switch to a wireless keyboard and that seemed
to be when the trouble could have started...switched back to my corded keyboard
and still have the problem...frown.

I would greatfully appreciate any thoughts, suggestions or helpful hints that
could get my keyboard fully functioning again.

  Many thanks in advance.

  Nancy Hill
