[JAWSLite] Re: Jaws 8:

Well that is something to look at, and price could be a major target.

Sorry for the confusion

The prices I quoted and my comments about the new FS ownership were separate
comments. I was simply making the statement that we need to watch the new
direction of the company. The previous owners were pretty hungry and the
new owners are venture capitalists which mean they are profit driven. The
original direction of the company is gone with Mr. Hinter. I was looking at
their PacMates. Now I wonder about the longevity of the company.

I'm confused. Are you saying that the new owner of FS are responsible
for the prices you paid a few months ago? If so, I don't see how that
figures. They may be "strictly money people", but I don't know how much
influence they've had on the pricing structure at FS to date. Of course,
I don't know when the purchase actually went through, but I was under
the impression that it was relatively new, if it's even already gone
through all of the regulatory approvals. I agree everyone needs to keep
an eye on GW Micro, the open source alternatives and all of the other
options, but I think we also need to wait and see what happens with FS.
