[JAWSLite] Re: Jaws 10 and Windows 2k

Hi, Miss Tribble,

No, Win 2k is it's own version of Widnows and is the predecessor of
win xp. Win 2k and xp pretty much have the same kernel but are two
different families of the windows operating system.

win 2k pro came out at the end of 1999 with server and advanced
server editions to follow. It is a business operating system and had
no consumer version like xp and vista do. There just is no technical
reason why jaws should not run on win 2k as it is almost identical to xp.

win 2k is still used in many business environments and FS no longer
supporting jaws on that operating platform is going to hurt some
blind employees.

Cheers,

Doris
