Hi Everyone,
I have recently started a job doing medical transcription for a medical lab.
The software that the lab uses to manage most of there data is called Meditech.
As I understand it, Meditech does not run directly in Windows. It runs on a
server, using a operating system that is similar to Unix. The server actually
runs the software and the PC interfaces with the server through a form of
terminal emulation software that is specifically for Meditech. The emulation
runs in a text window, which, of course, causes problems for JAWS. I can read
the emulation window with the JAWS curser but having to read everything that
way isn't very efficient. If I set the screen echo to all, I get a lot of
extraneous information, as you might expect. I will probably have to create
several frames and/or have some scripts written. Does anyone out there have
any experience with Meditech? Better yet, does anyone have any frame and/or
script files? Any help at all would be appreciated. I am using JAWS 8.0 and
XP Pro.
Thanks,
Scott Duck
