[JAWSLite] Re: JAWS 8.0.422 Stops speaking

Hi,

I would update Jaws 8 to the latest version 8.0.2173. There were a number of
problems with Outlook that were corrected with later updates of version 8.

I am using both Outlook and Excel with the latest build of Jaws version 8
and do not experience the problems you describe.

You can update to the latest build of Jaws 8 by using the check for updates
option found in the help menu of Jaws.

Regards,
Ryan

Subject: [JAWSLite] JAWS 8.0.422 Stops speaking

Hi All,

I recently upgraded to JAWS 8.0.422
Using Windows XP

Microsoft Outlook 2003 issues -

when I F6 to the tree view, type "I" to find the Inbox, hit enter, then
F6, I hear 0 items
If I F6 back to the tree view, hit enter, F6 then sometimes I get the
list of inbox messages, sometimes I have to repeat the process again

While typing messages or making Outlook appointments, sometimes JAWS
stops speaking for a long wile. With some patience, speech returns. It
is really starting to hang up my work day.

Microsoft Excel 2003 - When I highlight rows and page down to select a
large number of rows, JAWS stops speaking. After waiting a long while,
speech returns

Any ideas on how to resolve?

Many thanks,
Kathy
