Here are my first impressions of JAWS 10 Beta, for what they're worth.
1. The Auto Forms mode feature is a nice addition, but it is more
evolutionary than revolutionary.  This feature would probably be most useful
to someone who spends a lot of time filling out online forms.
2. The Real Speak Solo voices are a big deal if you use JAWS in a language
other than American English.  Eloquence remains the most understandable
voice, but this is a matter of personal preference.
3. The Copy and Cut commands still don't speak after WMP has been launched.
Fortunately, you can now read the contents of the clipboard, so you can at
least verify that the Copy or Cut has been executed successfully.
4. JAWS still does not announce the number of frames, headings, and links
when a web page initially loads in Firefox 3.  There is still no audible
alert or JAWS announcement when you access a web page that contains RSS
feeds.  But the Find command, Control + F now works correctly.  In short,
JAWS 10 offers little change in functionality with Firefox 3 over JAWS 9.
5. The JAWS scripts for certain programs like Spyware Blaster don't seem to
work, as they do with earlier versions of JAWS.

In summary, the new features of JAWS 10 are a nice enhancement, but by no
means a real breakthrough.  If you're happy with the version of JAWS  you
are currently using, stick with it, or go ahead and try JAWS 10 Beta for
yourself.  Remember that you must have JAWS 9 installed to use JAWS 10 Beta
in uninterruptable mode during the public beta testing period.
