Problem is basically that while you might have a fast internet connection, once you've reached whatever is your sort of main 'access point', then from there you have to go via various routes and specifically connect to other machines, and the overall connection speed sort of averages out relating to all of the various connection waypoints etc.
FWIW, using the average dial-up connection this side, I'd normally average around 3.5KbPS when downloading, but using my current 512KBPS connection, I normally average out to around 50KBPS, which means that I can then sort of download a 10Mb file in around 10 and 1/2 minutes.
Either way, like I said, haveing a broadband connection means you're own average is a lot better, but unfortunately, you can't really control the interlacing connection speeds of the rest of the world/internet.

Guys,
Thanks a million to all who share their ideas on my previous questions. I also thank all the persons who are generously create and shares their websites that they owned that have so many resources that any blind computer users can download, study and enjoy for a free charge. Merry Christmas to all.
Now, please excuse me on my question at this time, because it is not related to the any jaws concerns, but it is related to internet and download speed of what they say, "broadband" but is not.
I am very disappointed of my broadband speed on its internet connection and download speed. I applied for a plan of 384 kbps. But when I am dwonloading and surfing, it seems like a dial up connection at the slow of 60 kbps. 
All their technical support groups can't perform well.
I want to ask any one on this forums the things I have to do to remove my disappointment? 
My connection is Wi-Fi, but feels not.
Is anyone of you knows how to speed up my connection?
Is their a website that can control and adjust all the bandwidth speed in any country through out the planet? 

Please, help me.

Any suggestions and many mre ideas will appreciate.
