hello,

its not necessary to remove the stuff listed in the drop down list in the 
run dialog, you can essentially ignore the old items.

as to adding new ones, you simply type the name into the edit field, if it 
is already in the list it will try to auto complete for you, if it gets it 
wrong, just keep typing and the new item will, when you tab over and hit ok, 
be added to the list.
