[JAWSLite] Re: Finding Attachments in Outlook

Hi there

Along the lines of what Nancy said, I was basically told right from the start to not make use of the preview pane at all, in which case you do indeed hit enter on a message to read it.

Then, like Nancy said, you can normally use things like shift + tab to get to things like attachments etc.

OTOH, have you tried what I assume is also the Jaws key for outlook - Jaws key + A will take me to the attachments automatically in outlook express.

Subject: [JAWSLite] Finding Attachments in Outlook

Hi,
I'm helping an blind friend who has Jaws V7 with XP pro and MS Office 2007.
My question about finding attachments in Outlook 2007. It seems that if
objects like, word documents, pdf files, etc are attached to a message then
the "View Attachments" option is listed on the short cut menu and it's easy
to scroll down the list of attachments to open them. However, if the
attachment is an email message then "View Attachments" is not listed on
the short cut menu. When the message is opened JAWS reads the message header
and announces that there is an attachment but we can't find a way of getting
into the message header to open the attachment.
Thanks
Howard
