[JAWSLite] Re: Disk imaging and partition creating with jaws 9

Hi Helmuth,

I gathered some information from another blind group that provided
some things for you to consider for disk imaging.

Here it is:

Image for windows which may be found at :

www.bootitng.com

The way to understand this software is as follows: You make sure your
system is

set to boot off of the optical drive, place the first disk in and restart.

Once it picks up the optical it starts the restore. Then it will kick out
the first disk and you just need to know to place the last CD or DVD in to
the drive. When it finishes with that disk you just need to place the first
disk back in. From that point on just place the disks in sequential order
until it is finished. Then reboot your system and it should be back to the
restored state. The restore was done on a system of around 10 GB on
to a single DVD using
it's standard compression.

Helmuth, here is another software from another blind user:

I use a disk imaging program call Active Disk Image from LSoft. Their URL
is:

http://www.disk-image.net/

It is very accessible with Jaws, allows you to create a boot CD or DVD,

allows unattended scheduled backups, and will backup to just about anything.

I have restored an entire hard drive from an external USB drive.

You can download a trial version which allows everything except a restore.

Helmuth, here is two audio demonstration using Image for windows:

Hope this helps,
