I use Mobile Speak Pocket with my cell phone PDA. It is totally awesome. There is a flavor of Mobile Speak for the same symbian (sp) phones that the TALKS software works on. Mobile Speak, however, also works on Windows Mobile smart phones and, what I use, Mobile Speak Pocket for the pocket PC. On one unit, I have MS Word (pocket), Excel, Outlook (including the same calendar and contacts I use on my desktop), PowerPoint, calculater, Windows Media player, Internet Explorer. And, it is a cell phone. Actually, the software runs on a ton of phones and PDAs. Check out www.codefactory.es You can get a demo of Mobile Speak that runs for thirty day, and you can usually get a phone/PDA on a 30 day trial. Check it out! One correction, Mobile Speak Pocket runs a number of different voices. The most responsive is a software version of the Dectalk. If you like really, really human sounding voices (almost scary realistic), you could try some of the Loquindo voices.
