Hello to all: I wanted to tell you about a problem I had with my computer which began a couple weeks ago. I started noticing that my computer was not responding as fast as before, but worst of all, when I would turn on my computer, sometimes JAWS would not come up or start at all, and I would have to shut down even a few times to get it to start. So after I told myself to calm down and not panick, I started trying to think about any changes I could have possibly made. I also downloaded and installed the latest update to the RealNetworks Rhapsody Music Service. At that time, I was prompted about whether I wanted to install Google Desktop, and I inadvertantly clicked Yes. And then I thought, "Well, why not try it?" It finally hit me that this program is indexing my computer in order to allow its searches and that it probably needs to start before anything else. I uninstalled it on Saturday, and I have been fine ever since. And a friend told me tonight that if you haveWindows Fista on your machine, you definitly don't want Google Desktop since that functionality is already a component of Vista. If Google Desktop is currently on your computer, I advise that you uninstall it.
