hmmm what version of jaws 8 are you running, and do you have your O E
maximized? I am running the second latest version of 8 and IE/OE 6, and do
not have this trouble.
I do have one where if I change folders, jaws announces the last post it was
on as the last post in the new folder, but not this deletion trouble.

Yes, I have noticed that. It does it with Jaws 7.1 as well.

Ever notice that in Outlook Express, you delete a message whose subject
line
you're not interested in, only to have it read the next message subject as
though it was the message that you deleted?
You have to open the message, only to find out that if you'd deleted it
you
would have deleted another message.
Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a
drug
dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist".
