Why wait for Jaws 9? Jaws Version 8.0.2173 work good with Vista.

Why not wait six weeks or so for JAWS 9 to be released. does the
laptop have to be purchased this week? vista support in the new
version will likely be better than what it is today.

I have Vista on my laptop and one of my desk tops and find it to be a
pretty good operating system. It is a learning experience, so if you are
willing to to relearn an operating system, then go for it.
I would encourage you to get a laptop with a dual core processor and 2 gig
of ram.
The first thing I did in Vista was to turn off the user account control,
that was really aggravating.

    Hi everyone.

I'm looking to buy a new laptop and want to use jaws 8 with it. Would I be better going for the vista opperating system or staying with windows xp?
Also, any advice on tec specs would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
