I get automatic notices from Adobe. I can't remember if I had to check a
box for them or they just came to me as a registered holder of the product.
When I downloaded the Adobe Reader 9 Update I received a notice that I had
to restart my computer and that the installation would not finish until my
computer re-started. I allowed Adobe to re-start my computer and then I got
the notice that the installation was successful.
After that, it recommended that I also download the Flash Media update. If
I remember correctly, I usually activate my Jaws Cursor when I get these
messages to be sure I have read all the information. Even programs that
call themselves, accessible, sometimes have text that is not readable unless
I use the Jaws cursor. I have no idea why. Looking over the steps in a
download with the Jaws Cursor is a habit I developed a while ago.
If you did not get any kind of a confirmation that the installation was
successful, you can always try to re-install it. Most of the time you will
get a notice that the program is current or some reply like it.
