[JAWSLite] Re: A question about Jaws 8 and Internet Explorer 7.

I don't know of such a guide, but are you using all of the short cut keys you can? I find that the tool bars aren't too bad if you use keys like F6, tab and shift-tab. Of course, you can also use the View pulldown in IE to stop displaying some of the tool bars and side panels. I generally have as little of that displayed as possible. BTW, I'm a big fan of tabbed browsing. I think more applications should have tabbed interfaces! I find it very convenient when jumping around between different sites to have them all up at the same time and use control-tab to jump between them.

Another option is Firefox. It has a cleaner and more configurable interface, but it works a bit differently from IE and doesn't have quite the support in JFW that IE has. All that being said, it is my primary web browser.

Hi,
I want to know, if someone has made a guide for setting up Explorer 7 optimally with Jaws 8?

For example I think it's a pain in the ... to always have to tab over diverse toolbars and stuff. On afew pages it's hard to tell, if you're in the contents of the page, or somewhere else. I don't think I need tabbed browsing, but on the other hand I can live with it.

I can't find anything in the manual about optimizing Explorer with Jaws.

Best regards
Brian
