For some reason, the Freedom Scientific website makes it rather
difficult to find this crucial information, but here are operating
systems supported by JAWS 8: Windows 2000, Windows XP Pro, Windows XP
Home, Windows Media Center, and Windows 2003 Server.

Another page explains what versions of JAWS to use with earlier versions
of Windows: JAWS 7.10.452 or earlier with Windows 98 or Windows ME, and
Jaws 6.20 or earlier with Windows NT or Windows 95:

Freedom Scientific and GW-Micro have said they will release free patches
for Vista support in JAWS 8 and Window-Eyes 6 when Windows Vista is
