The only bar I can think of in word which appears at the bottom is the
status bar which you access with insert numpad 3. You could also use the
Jaws cursor and read it word by word. Whether it has the word count info

Thank you. It works like all the other options but it is much quicker... I
am somewhat confused though: How do I get to the bar at the bottom of the
screen, for example, in Word, where we find how many words were are writing
and other information? I know that if you go to tools and press w you will
hear the word count and all the rest but how can I access that bar if it is
not the task bar with Jaws 5.10 and XP home edition?
