Hi Albert:
Sure you can call me, no problem and I will help.
Did you put the script in your default script manager? If so then zip up
your default scripts and send them to me and I will take a look at them and
see what the problem is..
Send your default scripts in both your settings and shared settings.
If using jaws 7 or 8 then go to start menu all programs and the jaws
version you put the script in, either(jaws 7 or 8); then to jaws 7 or 8
and right arrow into that folder, , then right arrow into "Explore JAWS"
and enter on "Explore My Settings". . Copy all your default files by
holding down control and hitting space bar on all your default scripts to
select them, then hit control + C to copy the scripts and paste them into a
folder on your hard drive. If you don't have an empty folder on your hard
drive you can create one by hitting windows key + E to go to windows
explorer and then to your C drive. Now enter your C drive and while
nothing is selected hit alt + F and right arrow on new and enter on folder
and give it any name you wish.
After copying your default script files then use which ever zip program you
use to zip them all up and give them a name like, "UserDefault.zip".
Now do the exact same except this time enter on "Explore Shared Settings "
and select al of these as well and copy them to a folder and zip them up as
well and give them a name like, "SharedDefault.zip".
Now send them to me as 2 attachments at the below E-mail address:
terrill1@xxxxxxxx
Note if you are using jaws 5 then you will only have one set of scripts
which will be located at, "C:\JAWS510\SETTINGS\enu". In this case enter
the enu folder located at "C:\JAWS510\SETTINGS\enu" and select all your
default scripts, copy them and paste them into a folder and E-mail them to
me as an attachment with a name like "jaws5default.zip" to the same E-mail
address.
I noticed in your E-mail you said you were interested in getting rid of
balloon tips.
The tip I posted was to extend the time balloon tips are on the screen, not
to disable them. if you want to disable them there are three ways listed
below from easiest to most difficult:
The easiest way to do this is to download TweakUiPowertoySetup from the
below link:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/c/a/fca6767b-9ed9-45a6-b352-839afb2a2679/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe
XP power toys:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Once you have it installed, enter on the program and go to Taskbar and
uncheck "Enable Balloon Tips." This is the easy way to do it.
Either hold down the windows key and hit the letter R or go to START, RUN
and type in the below:
GPEDIT.MSC
Now you will be in a list. arrow down to USER and right arrow to open it,
then arrow down to CONFIGURATION and right arrow to open it, arrow down to
ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES and right arrow to open it, arrow down to START
MENU AND TASKBAR. Now tab and arrow down till you FIND REMOVE BALLOON TIPS
ON START MENU ITEMS. then tab again and arrow till you find "Properties "
and hit enter on that. Now you will be on a multiphase tab, you should land
on the setting tab. Now tab to a set of three radio buttons and use the
arrow keys to set it to enabled to remove balloon tips, and to disabled to
allow balloon tips .
OK
1. Click on Start
2. Choose Run
3. Type in "regedit"
4. Click Okay
Follow this path to The Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Create a new DWORD value, name it EnableBalloonTips, and set it equal to 0.
If EnableBalloonTips is already there and equal to 1, set it equal to 0.
Quit
the registry editor, log off, and log back on.
Now tab to a set of three radio buttons and use the
arrow keys to set it to enabled to remove balloon tips, and to disabled to
allow balloon tips , then to OK .
Note These steps disable all Notification Area balloon tips for this user.
There is no way to disable balloon tips for specific programs only.
Best Regards,
Terrill Reynolds

Display Time , i have a solucion. contact me
Hello Terrill,
I wasn't the person who inquired about the balloon tips! but I am very
interested in getting rid of them.
I followed your instruction, but when I tried to compile the scripts I
received an error message.
I wonder can I contact you by phone.
I live here in Dublin Ireland.
