[jaws-uk] Re: stuttering when selecting text in word

did you try mine? they were learnt from experience? check Cursor Width and see if it happens only if you are Selecting by which I mean highlighting, guess you are using plain text? also check colour the way you normally do mine says White on Midnight Blue, I would expect this on desktop since Lunar is on laptop where I didn't put Lunar back would be different, the stammering problem is a very hard one, as mentioned it was a highly trained Technician from well never mind who spent many hours trying to stop that one, as I said when he finally nobbled it said he was so tired "I do not remember the final tweak but the cursor had widened Incidentally David did you get a brand new Dell after the Power Surge ruined your system? It would be of interest to quite a few I think

I checked this just a c couple of days ago, and is up to date - hence
looking at other options.

Hi David,

My initial gut reaction is that it may be sound system
related. Might be worth investigating whether or not there
are more up to date drivers for your sound card.

George.

Subject: [jaws-uk] stuttering when selecting text in word

Hi All:

As the subject says, JAWS 9, XP Pro, Office 2k3, Dell
Optiplex 3100.

When selecting a line of text with shift_end in Word,
'shift print screen' is spoken, following which a repeated
sibilance is
emitted ad infinitum.

Any answers welcomed?
