Hi again,
I've just looked at the BBC site and indeed it looks like Real 1 Player, I
think they have kept it there to give some support to people who are still
using Windows 98, but I would say Real Networks no longer supports Windows
98 with its newer versions.
So the bottom line is, if you want a version that plays all current streams,
download the latest version from http://www.real.com
Regards,
Pete H.

Hi Paul,
It's been a while since I checked the BBC site, but last time I did the
version of Real Player they were offering was Real 1 Player which is
several years old now, I wonder which version you actually have? This
could be the reason that some streams will not play, but I'll take a look
at the BBC site and see what exactly they have.
Regards,
Pete H.

Subject: [jaws-uk] realplayer query
Hi all,
Since instaling the latest version of realplayer from the BBC website, I
am
finding that whenever I visit a site other than the BBC's and wish to
listen
to audio which requires realplayer, I find that for some reason I get
complete silence and sometimes I get an error message coming up.
If possible, could someone please explain why this is happening when I
have
the latest version of realplayer installed on my pc.
I currently use JAWS version 5 and Windows ME.
Paul.
