Hi all.
I have a scanned word document that I want to prepare as a Daisy book and want
to know about the best way to check it in JAWS. I am using Office 2003
I know I can insert headings at the appropriate level by selecting the text I
want the heading applied to and pressing alt control and the relevant number
e.g. alt control 3 for heading 3 and I can then test to make sure that format
has been applied by pressing insert f.
This is fine for individual headings but is there then a way of quickly moving
through the document, heading to heading, and finding out what the headings are
and at what level they have been set? I know there are quick navigation keys I
can use in word with JAWS but I need to examine this more closely as I don't
know how to use them yet. I just wondered if I am on the right track here and
whether anyone with experience of this could give me a few quick pointers in
the right direction.
In summary, I am happy enough with the concept of using headings and the
different levels of headings, it is just a question of finding the most
efficient way of marking up and checking the document.
Cheers
graham
