[jaws-uk] Re: macafee security

Hi Francis and all,
I'm wondering if you are encountering the near-disaster which I met a few
weeks ago. Having fast Broadband, I'd accepted an invitation to click and
nothing seemed to happen. I presumed that I hadn't clicked on exactly the
right spot and decided to ask my wife to sort things out next time I booted
up. When, much later in the day, I wanted to shut down my PC, the hard
drive started to go berserk. I asked my wife what was happening and she
told me that there was a message on the screen (obviously not related by
Jaws) to the effect that programs were being installed and that, under no
circumstances, should I proceed with the shut-down.

All a bit scary for a novice

Colin
