Hi,
In the 'text processing option' of the configuration manager there is an option
to "detect language settings". If you un-check this, JAWS will always use your
default language setting, whether you prefer the British, or US version of
english (or for that matter any language you set as default). The only
downside to this is that if you occasionally read web sites in other languages
supported by Eloquence such as German, French, Spanish etc. JAWS will not be
able to recognise web sites which should be voiced in a language other than
your default.
Regards,
Tim Pennick

Hi David,
I get this problem, but have learned to live with it. I find that it occurs
when reading emails from certain sources. I deduce that you hate the
English English as much as I do.
Cheers
Colin

Hi Folks,
Not a serious problem, and I'm sure I have seen it before on here, but is
there anything that can be done to stop Jaws from lapsing into english
english rather than american english? It only occurs rarely, and usually
when accessing complicated websites. It reverts to normal fairly rapidly,
but it can be a little annoying at times. I am using Jaws 6.1.
Any comments?
