Hi Dave,
Ugh! I couldn't stand the English voice. (You can always test it out
on Brian Hartgen's WEB site by the way.)
Now, what did I do . . ..
OK, I fixed it by going to Brian's page and then
1) INS+6 to start JAWS Configuration Manager and IE6 settings
should be loaded.
2) Go to Settings and
3) Under Text Processing, uncheck the box which says "Detect
Languages".
I also altered the Default.JCF in the same way to ensure I wasn't going
to get any more of that horrid British babble!

Subject: [jaws-uk] lapsing into English
Hi Folks,
Not a serious problem, and I'm sure I have seen it before on here, but
is there anything that can be done to stop Jaws from lapsing into
english english rather than american english? It only occurs rarely,
and usually when accessing complicated websites. It reverts to normal
fairly rapidly, but it can be a little annoying at times. I am using
Jaws 6.1.
Any comments?
