installing jaws eight over a copy of jaws 7.10. I installed jaws eight, and
the pc rebooted. then jaws didn't speak. I waited for ages, but nothing
happened. subsequent reboots produced no result. now I am using my laptop
to compose this message of frustrated anger at Freedom scientific. I have
had more problems with jaws updates than with any other programme. I do not
see how jaws can be installable on one update then broken the next. I am
now without my desktop pc. I need to get sighted assistance resolve this
problem, and that's not easy to come by. I am just glad I backed everything
up onto a removable drive before I installed jaws eight. I am very angry
and upset with this programme. I am able to use kerzwiel 1000 on my
desktop, and it receives emails fine, so it's not a pc problem. Why is it
that jaws for windows causes so many problems when updating? I am furious
and angry that we have to pay so much for a programme that breaks down so
often in critical si
tuations. I have had data execution errors because of jaws, and no speech
at all, and constant hassle with jaws. I don't know what to do with this
situation. I will get assistance, maybe Monday, maybe Tuesday, I don't
know. before that though, I have the weekend, and I'm thoroughly anoyed
with this programme. If anyone else has had this problem, where installing
jaws causes the pc not to speak, then please let me know. The problem is,
narrator is so dreadful that diagnosing the problem is not possible for
someone with no sight. As you can guess, I'm very upset.
