Hi OK, just to make this easier for you, I have compiled the scripts using jaws 4.5 and put them into an installer. Please note that I am not the author of the scripts, but I have done this purely to try to assist. So, please use the following procedure: 1. Go to the following link: http://www.hartgen.org/ad450.exe 2. Download the file to your computer and run it. Jaws will read out some instructions to you, which are simply to press the enter key three times to complete the installation process. 3. When you have done this, you will be presented with a message to the effect that the scripts have been copied to the computer. 4. Now start add aware. 5. I have noted that the author has put a script in the package which will allow you to press insert+q when add aware is running. So go ahead and press this keystroke. If it says that the add aware scripts are loaded, then the scripts are successfully installed, running and active. I can't get the scripts to work still. I've extracted them into the folder as you said. When I press Insert +0, and yes i'm pressing the Ins on the number pad and 0 on the main keyboard, i just get an edit box and it mentions the first of the names of the files I've extracted. when I press ctrl and S it says nothing, and the same when I press alt +f4. I've updated my Ad-aware software as it suggested thinking that might be the problem, but still no joy. I get nowhere when I use the jaws cursor or route pc to Jaws either. I've never dealt with installing extra scripts before so don't understand where I'm going wrong. I could do with getting this sorted out, as I'm using spybotsd but it's not going deep enough into the system. If it is, it isn't getting rid of everything and I'm struggling to get online at the moment. the modem connects, but it won't go anywhere. I've already installed another dialer from NTL and it's already started playing tricks. I suspect it's a Spyware prob, but can't be 100% sure. I'm using spyware Guard too, but either it isn't protecting me from everything, or the problem got in when I didn't use it. Any help is most appreciated. Thanks. ----- Original Message ----- From: Moti Azrad Musician & Piano-Tuner To: jaws-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, May 06, 2005 4:23 AM Subject: [jaws-uk] Re: help needed with jaws scripts for ad-aware Hi Jill, You have to extract the ad aware scripts for Jaws 4.5 to: c:\jaws450\settings\enu then you have to open ad aware and do this: insert+0 wait a little and press ctrl+s for recompilation and alt+f4 to close then you hear, that the compilation is complete and then you can start using ad aware with the scripts. You can find all the needed information at: www.jfwlite.com under helpful hints section and choose: ad aware. Downloaded and unzipped the scripts for Jaws 4.5 to work with Ad-aware. I'm not sure what to do next. the scripts were put into a folder for all things unzipped. Do they need to be moved to the Jaws folder? I asume they do. Then what do I need to do to get them to work please? I've never used ad-aware yet. Thanks for any help.
