MessageHi Robin,
I think this may be a conflict between JAWS and the Java Run-Time Environment.
This problem certainly happened with JAWS 5.x, and, at the time, was attributed
to the Sun JRE being installed, which IIRC, was 1.4.2_03. I think Sun have
1.50 of J2SE out now, but I haven't tried it, and I know they have a new
version of the access bridge in public beta.
The only resolution I came up with at the time, was to move focus away from the
IE window, to the desktop or to another app, and then back to IE. This seemed
to get the page to read correctly. As There's a new version of JAWS out, and
likely a new version of Java, it might be worth checking with both Sun and FS
to see if this is resolved.

Hi Will,
Java run time env, 1.4.2, 84.35Mb but no access bridge according to my
Computing Services dept. In control panel I also have Java TM Plug in, but
there's nothing to display when I open that. And, of course, in my start menu
programmes, there is, Java web Start.
Ok, so how does this all tie in?
Robin.

Hi Robin,
This definately sounds like it's an issue related to Java. I've seen this
on other web sites that use Java applets.
A couple of questions. Do you have a Java Run-time Environment and the
Access Bridge installed? If so, what are the versions? You should be able to
find this by looking in the add/remove control panel applet.

Hi Jim,
Well perhaps that particular route stopped at that time, but never mind.
I tried this site a couple of times, and eventually got some success, but only
after I refreshed the screen, and in fact, I had to alt tab back to the
Citylink homepage then alt tab back to the new browser window of the journey
search and this was the only way I could then work through stage 2 in
selecting departure points within the towns selected.
I just don't know if it's poor design, sluggish jaws, or AVG7 or
whatever, but it certainly ain't an easy site to get around.
Thanks for your time,
Cheers, Robin.
