customizable by the user. If you are getting a search box then I presume that 
your homepage is google. Please check the title of the page to confirm the same.

  i think i downloaded and run the exe file for 3.5 something
  not having used firefox it seems somewhat different from i e
  for a start all i get is search box same as any search engine
  is this normal or should it load the same way as i e does
  also where do i go to get the invitation for captcha
  any info on how firefox works and what the opening screen should look like 
  would be appreciated
