Thanks for your help.
The main reason for not originally installing IE8w was that it wasn't
compatible with JAWS 9 but as I now have JAWS 12, and given waht you say
about IE8, I may seriously consider changing.

:I can't say I've come across this issue. I'm using Jaws 12, XP and IE8.
However, with Firefox 3.x I have this problem but this is a topic for
another thread. Is there a reason you are still using the awful IE7? Why not
upgrade to the a lot more stable, much faster, all round a much better and
equally accessible IE8 and see if that solves the issue.
