Paul,
To restart Jaws after shutting it down for any reason it is best to have a
short cut key set up.
To do this, right click on the Jaws icon on your desk top, using the Jaws
cursor.
Press up once to get to properties and press enter.
Tab to short cut key in properties. It probably says no short cut key applied.
Key what ever letter you want to use for the short cut. I normally use J as it
makes sense and will be easy to remember.
Tab to OK and press enter.
That is it. You can then exit from Jaws, eg if someone else is using the
computer, and restart it without help by pressing alt, control and J at the
same time.
I have two versions of Jaws loaded, and have short cuts on both, just in case
something goes wrong with the latest version. You need to use a different
letter for each short cut, so being imaginative, I went for K!
Hope this helps.
Ken
