Hi
I am coming to this thread a little late, and I may well have missed if
someone has mentioned this. But it is worth mentioning whatever version
of Vista you have, from a jaws perspective you must be authorised for
Vista, whether you are using jaws standard or professional. To find out
if your jaws is vista compatible, do the following, do not just assume
if you are using jaws 8 it will work with Vista.
Go to
www.fsactivate.com
and select the link which asks you to verify the number of activation
keys available. Type in your serial number and press Enter.
You will see a table which contains the details of which version you
have authorisation for and the release version allowed. If you have
8.0V, 8.0+1, 8.0+2, or 9.0 or later authorisation, you can run it on
Windows Vista.
Despite what you may have read on various blogs and lists etc,
containing the usual assortment of complaints which appear when a new
jaws update is available, it does work well with Windows Vista and in
fact I would not have learned my way around this new operating system if
it was not for the excellent support provided by jaws to it.
