However, on my machine this does not show the specific item you need. What I do to remove drives is to make sure I am on the Desktop (Windows key and M), then tab 3 times to the 'notification' icon and press the spacebar to open. Cursor up the list until you get to 'safely remove hardware and eject media', then press the enter key to open. Choose the device you want to remove and tab to 'stop'. Windows will inform you that it is now safe to remove.
