[jaws-uk] Re: Website problem

Hi Graham, does this mean that I'm using Outlook Express as a newsreader whenever I access the newsgroups? I am embarrassed, as always, by my cluelessness but I'm an artist not a scientist - what can I say?
Thanks for your patience.
Amie

a newsreader in computer terminology anyway is a program for reading
newsgroups which are part of what is really the oldest method of sharing
information on what today has become known as the internet. People post
news to them and you use them using a newsreader such as Outlook Express. I
don't use them as much as I should to be honest but as usual, Wikipedia
comes to the rescue with all the information you need to get started.

Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newsgroups

Within this article you may want to also click on usenet to dig backwards a
little.

Cheers

Graham

Thanks, Graham. I guess if they can't even write the page properly we're
not missing much!

I can confirm that the page looks pretty jumbled with jaws 8 as well. I
suspect it is an html problem rather than anything else however.

Hi list, wonder, can anyone tell me how to make the attached weblink read
properly? It could just be an extremely poor piece of writing, I suppose,
but I think it's in collumns which JAWS is not reading for me. I'm using
JFW 5.1 btw.

N.B.: The content of the page in question may cause offence to
Christians,
but as I can't yet read it fully I'm not sure and, anyway, what doesn't
cause offence to Christians? Guess I will, by writing that. If so sorry.
TIA for any hints.
Amie
