Hi Darren,

I also had something similar to this but the problem turned out to be a
faulty memory chip rather than a virus.  It would certainly be worth
checking that all hardware is firmly seated in their slots as a first step.

Hi.

Oh brother.

This system has only just returned from being repaired.  It had a falty
power supply and as far as I'm aware, this is all that was replaced.

The system is never connected to the net as it's a music production system
that needs to run with virtually nothing else.

I'll download C Cleaner to see if getting rid of registry errors etc will do
the trick.

I had to seek professional help to resolve the issue.
