I'm wondering if Real Player is activating, you could try removing it and see
if the problem persists, I recommend uninstalling it from its own menu in
programs.
Perhaps it could be Yahoo's Launchcast, I've played about with it but not used
it seriously, you could try removing unwanted Yahoo software if you have it.

Pete H.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Very strange problem
Okay, this is not JAWS related but I hope it is all right to post as I can't
find an answer/solution and it's really starting to annoy me. This problem came
straight out of the blue, happens at any random time and I don't know what is
causing it or how to stop it. Or even if it's doing any harm to my computer. I
will try to explain it as best I can and if anyone can help me then perhaps
they could Email me off list?
I am on Broadband so the Internet is always active even when I am not online.
I am working away when all of a sudden I hear those clicking sounds you get
when a Website is loading. There are a few clicks and I can hear the PC noises
like when something is running. If I do Alt Tab in time I come upon a window
which says something and then Internet Explorer. One of the most common ones is
"88 Internet Explorer", but there are others with names which make no sense. If
I do Alt F4 the window closes down. If I don't get it in time or I miss it then
something starts to play. It is like a radio station or one of those daft home
movies like people put on uTube. I've never been on uTube, but I imagine that's
the sort of rubbish people load there. The only way of stopping what's playing
is to shut down the computer as no window is active to be closed once it starts.
Yes, I know it's weird, can anyone help?
