Then, I moved away and re launched jaws with the ctrl alt J and up came
the site after a window telling me something about Java tm platform,
visit us for more information.

Could be something here?

Cheers, Robin.

I've just looked at this site. I am using Jaws 8.0 and i confirm that
the
site does not read at all. I heard it say "43 links" as you reported.

However, the Insert V function is readable as normal and the Status Bar
says
"Internet 100 per cent". Otherwise, the screen is silent.

Regards

David

Hi List.

I'm having problems with JAWS 7.1 crashing more or less immediately
after I
enter a specific site. I hear enough to know that there's 43 links on
the
page, but after that all speech dies, and even if I alt tab away from
IE,
JAWS is still dead. I tried it with flash on and off, thinking this
might be
responsible, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

The website in question is

www.optimum2000.com

I haven't put version 8 on my PC yet, preferring to wait for the disk to
arrive, so I'd be interested to hear if any V8 users are able to access
the
above site?

Many thanks.

Darran
