[jaws-uk] Re: Updates if on auto?

Dorothy
It sounds like MSN messenger is starting up automatically when your compute=
r starts up and I haven't stopped it from doing so on my home machine as my=
kids use it. I don't use it myself so I just use alt tab until it is the =
active application, then I press alt f4 to close it down.

It also sounds like the you have the Adobe Acrobat reader download on your =
computer and you have either not yet set it up to run or it has been set-up=
and you just haven't deleted the download file. Can you open and read PDF=
 files wit Jaws? =20

Cheers
Chris

Subject: [jaws-uk] Updates if on auto?

Hallo all
I have my desktop and laptop set to receive Updates automatically. If
there is a problem on November 1 with I.E version 7 and I turn Windows
Updates auto off. Will I have to leave it off? Things like AVG are updated
on an almost daily basis. Will they stop being updated? Also Adaware often
mentions upgrades. Will I have to do these things manually?

Finally and this a real bind. Windows Messenger or MSm is a real pain. In
my system tray it keeps on about "not being signed in" if I need to go
onto the internet it is there again nagging at me about Security Policy and
Privacy details. If I ever want Messenger I will tell it so meanwhile how
can I shut it up, in a way like Yahoo I get the impression that it wants to
make a takeover bid for my computeI.E
r. Any ideas. All I want is a bit of peace
and quiet. Finally and I know I should only mention 1 topic at a time
or the thing you use to read Pdf files is on my desktop but if I try to=
=20
use it I get a long winded Legal Agreement it wants me to sign for.but=20
acrobat
or maybe it is Adobe Reader if they are on my desktop surely I have them=
=20
anyway. Why can't they leave me in peace Dorothy.=20
