[jaws-uk] Update on jaws update

dear List, last week I managed to download the patch for Jaws 8 on my
laptop. No way could I do the same on Desktop. friends sent in various tips
nothing worked. this morning a kind friend who knows my set up phoned me. we
realised that when the Engineer came to check my Viglen Genie some weeks
ago.

He ran a diags test to diagnose the fault.

It so happened the diags test was clean, noise in tower was within
'acceptable levels'  problem was  Driver for Lunar, which he did not attempt
to do and rightly so, Drivers are dodgy, however he put in the  resolution
advised for Jaws 7 and above.  It seems the action of running the Diags test
made jaws 7 the active Screen reader even though I keep hearing Jaws 8.
there is no reason not to be able to have both Jaws 7 and 8 but Jaws 7 mustbe 
neutralised. We did that and the patch/update or whatever anyone wants to
call it came in fast and now I can say also "all is tickaty Boo" Joan Muir if 
you are reading this it cannot be your solution but please in due course do
tell us your fix when you find it
