[jaws-uk] Re: Tony's visit,

Hi Sue, it's no problem. You can find out the status of drive space in a
number of ways. I think the easiest way for you to see the free space on
your drive is to go to my computer from your desktop, highlight drive C and
then use shift and f10 to get your context menu up. From here, find
Properties and press enter. Now use your jaws curser to navigate round the
first tab sheet which is your general properties tab. Here you will be
informed of the drive capacity, free and used space. Your jaws curser is
the top right button on your numeric pad. You may need to unrestrict it by
pressing insert and R to toggle round the options, you want to hear it say,
unrestricted.

Now for your second question. Your music will be held on your drive in
folders as opposed to a program. You will need to find out which folder
they are being stored in. When you know that, you can use something like
windows explorer to find the folder and use shift and f10 again to bring up
the context menu. Select properties here and you will again be in a general
property sheet where you can use your jaws curser and navigate round to find
out the size of the folder.

I'd imagine that your music will be in your My Music folder, or in a folder
contained in your My Documents folder. Presuming this is the case, you can
get to it much quicker by simply going to My Documents from the Desktop.

Hope that helps Sue but let us know if you need any more help.

Steve

        sHi.
I haven't been on this list for very long and I'm not an advanced jaws user.
Please can anyone tell me how to find out how much space I have left on my
hard drive and what command can I use to find out how much memory a program
is taking up eg my music which holds about 300 CD's.
I hope this is a topic for the list but if not, I apologise.
Sue.
