Hi I am not sure what you mean if you have a Desktop you will have
normally a draw to take a CD the draw would be either a CD Reader or a
Cd writer and below most likely a gap for a Floppy Disc lower still you
have a selection of smaller slots for a Thumb drive or an External Hard
drive, can you explain which kind of machine you are using

I apologise that this isn't JAWS related, but perhaps someone could Email
me off list if they can help me?
The DVD/CD player on my computer is just an open slot. You push the disc
in so far and then the machine grabs hold of it and pulls it in the rest
of the way. So how does that work with those tiny discs you get today if
you have any gadget requiring software? I've tried pushing it in, but the
machine does not grab hold of it and pull it in. If I push it on in
nothing happens and I'm in danger of it disappearing out of my fingers and
getting stuck inside. Do I need some kind of an adapter?
