[jaws-uk] Re: Telephone numbers on Websites

Strange, JAWS is reading the whole numbers for me.

What if I want my order to come sooner?
If you order before 5pm you may be able to get a next day delivery before 12
noon - including on Saturdays - for £10. Ask when you make your order, or call
our Tracking team on 0845 601 0410.

If you live in a rural area, City Link may not be able to offer this option.
For more information, contact City Link on 0121 505 9870 and quote the delivery
postcode.

Sorry George. I was trying to track an order on the Carphone Warehouse site.
Here is the link:

  http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/support/orders-deliveries-returns/delivery

  Under this heading:

Accessories costing more than £50 and all mobile phones

There is some text including the numbers for the CPW tracking team and City
Link. Both of these have JAWS reading the first couple of digits and then ....

  Thanks.

How about quoting a URL or two where you have experienced the problem?

I have noticed on a few Websites lately while looking for contact numbers
say for example to discuss my account, track orders etc, that they give the
first couple of digits of a number and then just dots. I'll use my own number
for example:
    Call Barbara on 028...
Is this a JAWS problem with reading the number or is it really not there?
Surely it would make no sense to have only a couple of digits showing? Has
anyone else experienced this problem?
