I believe that this is a fault in JFW5 that is only corrected in version 6.
I'd be happy if someone can tell me different, though, as it's a pain in the
neck.

I've been using Jaws with the synthesizer called Text Assist for 9 years,
but it don't work with XP, to which I recently upgraded, so I've had to use
the awful Eloquence. Actually there are some features which this does
better, but if I have it yakking away and try to stop it with the Control
key, it usually takes a very long time to react.
Any ideas? JFW 5.1 and Sound Blaster 5.12, if that matters.
