[jaws-uk] Scanning

I use a laptop, Windows XP, with Jaw
Marion Oakes 6.20 and have recently brought an Epson printer/copier/scanner with Abby Fine Reader. I found printing and copying straight forward but scanning a document in order to read it more difficult. A sighted friend has shown me how by using several Windows keystrokes but I wondered if there is a quicker way using Jaws keystrokes. Can anyone help please?
