[jaws-uk] Scanner update

Well we have done as much research as possible and that Epson 3490
Photo,whiz the one my local  dealer said was all he could find, well Andrew
has got a lot of detail on it. Both  think that a Scan time of 30 seconds is
surprisingly long. There appears to be nothing faster that is advised for
our OCR. Pity. The Hp. is more expensive but am told by the experts the
Software not work very well. I wondered if the Website had not been updated
but it seems that is the advised Model. Just out of curiosity I asked Blazie
and they  prefer same as Dolphin Canon LIE 90 I think I am not good on
numbers. However seems it isn't very 'robust' but good value.  So it is
going to take along time to scan the mail. Not all the shiny stuff is junk
mail you hope it isbut still have to check the boring stuff. Dorothy.

incidentally that thing called Guide you mentioned Weeks and weeks ago I
ordered a coupleof DEmos for friends, noting ever arrived. Gave address with
great care.  As I said at the time Nigel I asked questions such as "what
can't it do" important. you always need to know what a product cannot do.
