Alex, go to My Computer, highlight the drive required, do a ctrl+tab
until you get to the tools page.
Then run it and yu might be able to solve Sue's problem.  (I'm sure it
ought to work on all disks - I have three.)

I've never run scandisk, I looked for it in accessories but it doesn't
seem
to be there, nor in control panel.  I used to run the equivalent on my
old
win98 machine so any help with using scandisk with windows xp from
anyone
would be appreciated.  Where is it and how do I use it.

Hi.

I have a C and D drive on my machine and I'm wondering if when you set
up
the scan disk option from my computer, if you can ask it to scan the C
and D
drive at the same time as you have to re-start the machine in order for
the
scan to take place.  I've just done a scan, and after it had finished,
instead of the computer going back into Windows, like it normally does,
it
shut down.  Can anyone tell me why it would do this as I thought that
once
the scan had been completed, the machine went back into Windows again
like
it does when it starts up.  I don't think it's ever shut down before so
can
someone explain this to me?
