[jaws-uk] Re: Safe Mode

Safe Mode is where Windows is run with an absolute minimum
of drivers, and is intended as a trouble-shooting process
for when Windows does not load properly.

It will therefore not have sound drivers installed, and so
is as much use to a JAWS user as a chocolate fireguard.

Subject: [jaws-uk] Safe Mode

Please can someone explain what Safe Mode means?

Whilst fiddling around trying to rid self of Mouse over
and Read only and
greater than I must have made a mistake. I do recall doing
the Mouse over
I used as a copy an old Post and it was working on Mouse
over on Internet
Explorer and message said to move to a HtMl link, however
Jaws stopped
speaking then and I linked 1 cursor to another. I suppose
this was the
wrong thing to do in Internet Explorer 7. anyway after that
laptop
complained and went on about Safe mode. So for the time
being I shall put up
with the irritating things and find out what Safe Mode is
and under what
circumstances the Computer goes on about it
Thanks

Dorothy
